Why we started StayBright

StayBright started with a simple realisation. Bedfordshire was changing, fast.

The Universal UK Resort was breaking ground. Demand for short-term stays was starting to build. Property owners were paying attention. But the service around it wasn't keeping up.

Between us, we had exactly the skills this market was going to need.

Shelley has spent her career in hospitality and guest services, where she learned that a great stay isn't accidental. It's the result of hundreds of small details done right.
Rob has spent 15 years in marketing, helping properties and businesses get seen, understood, and chosen.

One of us knows how to make guests love a place.The other knows how to get it in front of them in the first place.

So we started StayBright. Not to compete with national property management chains, but to do something they can't.

The people behind StayBright

Shelley is the reason guests love staying in a StayBright property.

With a background in hospitality and guest services, she understands what turns a functional place to stay into somewhere people want to come back to. And it's rarely the obvious things. It's the details most managers overlook.

Shelley leads operations: property setup, guest communication, supplier standards, and everything that shapes the guest experience. If something's not quite right, she'll catch it early. If a review mentions how smooth everything felt, that's her work.

Rob brings 15 years of marketing experience to StayBright.

He's spent his career helping businesses stand out in competitive markets, understanding what makes people stop, read, and take action. In property management, that matters more than most realise.

He leads listing optimisation, pricing strategy, and overall performance. A well-run property still needs to be seen. When a StayBright property ranks, books consistently, and performs commercially, that's his work.

Bedfordshire is becoming one of the most interesting places in the country to own property.

The arrival of Universal isn't the starting point. It's the acceleration of something that's already been building. Strong transport links, growing demand, and a widening gap between supply and quality short-term accommodation.

We're building StayBright now, before that demand peaks, because that's when the foundations matter. The operators who establish themselves early will be the ones best positioned when the market matures. We'd rather be ready than reactive.
